Hi kids.  Thanks for your patience.  Still trying to figure out this whole blog thing.  First a couple of announcements: Please direct all questions about KF Li to Mike Triforce.  Even those of us who will never own a new car (me) know that an 8.5% interest rate is criminal.  I do not have Mike Triforce’s number and no, I do not know whether he and the Princess have an “arrangement.” I will say this though, as far as I know he is straight and I am the first to admit that that question is more than legitimate. To our LGBT friends do not worry, Triforce is NOT your voice on this blog.

Next, I am introducing a new post entitled “Post of the Week” which will be a longer post about a subject of interest and since both Alpha Man and Simon’s Girlfriend have informed me I have done nothing for Black History Month, the first post of the week will go to Alpha Man.  Triforce is looking at a draft and mumbled something about a conspiracy theory.

More information, including why this is not a political blog and two new contests I need help with after the break.

Lincoln and Darwin 1

3 days ago in 1809 two very different men were born.

Unremarkable until their forties in an age where such longevity was not guaranteed.

One postulated what men were, the other led them to what they could become.

Each was accused of turning their back on the divine plan. One said men were so low that all were once beast. One said men were so high that none were now beast.

One man postulated that history was a force measured in millenia. One man bared witness to the force of three days.

A man once told me that science was about what you can prove and religion, legend, faith…they belonged to the realm of the unseen. He then asked which of these men was the greater – implying that I use his logic.

I replied that one spoke of an invisible force operating eons before antiquity…and one had seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.
