Hi kids! I figure the most noteworthy announcement is better than just posting the date which automatically appears when you post things.

- I have granted Mike Triforce an experimental trial period after a full month with no incidents.  You will still here from KF Li from time to time.  All of his post restrictions will be lifted over the next month.

- The post of the week is a comparison between Batman and Superman

- This week marks the first week of Summer for most college kids and graduate students.  Here at Debtor’s Prison we are making a hard push to expand our readership to individuals who are MIA during the school year.  PLEASE pass links on and remind new readers that this is not a news site I would recommend new and current readers to read every post from each author they identify with…oh and facebook friend me!

-Happy Mother’s Day!  Since I am not selling anything I have no problem with being a little late

-We’re bringing back the Post of the Week.  It will either be a piece on failing your mother in the traditional sense or it will be a post about what to do when you actually get out of debtor’s prison

-We’re still having computer difficulties folks, as in difficulties for Alpha Man and I to actually access a terminal.  Also Erin was caught blogging at work.  That’s a no-no at a law firm by the way.

-PLEASE click on the facebook icon and friend me on facebook.  It’s the best way to be kept abreast of the latest entries and provides another forum for discussion.

-If you’re new to the site PLEASE read the bios for each author (click on their names) and use tags and categories to read old posts.  This isn’t a news blog where each post has a “timeliness” factor.  It’s best to think of the blog as a quilt that’s forever expanding.

Hi kids! Here’s what’s going on this week here at Debtor’s Prison

-Disclaimers are going up on all Mike Triforce posts.  I’d think this would go without saying but the lawyer in me says I better say it

-The Alpha Man response to surviving a layoff is going up this week I promise

-I’ve gone back to begging celebrities for student loan forgiveness

-During the Post of the Week I examine the analogy between being a chronic debtor and an alcoholic.  Sadly yes its come to that

-There is a petition going around to restore bankruptcy rights to student debtors.  As soon as I can the whole gang will weigh in on the issue.

-We’ve got a bunch of new sites under what we’re unabashedly calling “Law stuff.” Hey it’s what we know. You want some variety send some suggestions.

Hi Kids. Welcome to pre-Summer (has a better ring to it than Spring I think). Here’s what you can look forward to for this week.
- Mike Triforce is writing the post of the week prior to a leave of absence of no less than 30 days effective April 15. His status will be reviewed again May 15 and each subsequent month until he is invited to return or permanently leaves Debtor’s Prison. In his stead KF Li will assume his writing responsibilities.
- Due to lack of followers and an inability to say anything meaningful in 140 characters or less the Twitter account is going on hiatus
- We are actively seeking guest writers
- As always please forward articles and tell your friends about the site

Hi Kids.  Sorry about being a little late with the announcements.   Please attribute such tardiness to the holiday.  To all who claim we live in a country dominated by judeo-christian tradition might I humbly point out that we don’t get either Good Friday or Easter Monday off from work or school…and for those wondering how this affects me that leads to my first announcement.

-I got a job! Sort of.  I am doing research for a professor for 50 hours a week from now until the end of the semester.  If I do a good job I will be promoted to summer researcher, which I understand has some sort of hourly wage associated with it.

-The Pepsi Refresh Challenge was a bust.  We are planning to retool our submission and resubmit on May 1.

-We are actively looking for other blogs/sites to link to.  Please comment and suggest them!

Hi Kids! We’re on facebook! Please “friend request” Benito Mario.  Keep in mind, this site is for the blog.  I tried to register it as a business/website but as near as I can tell its just a facebook page under my name.  Still, there will be tasty tidbits on facebook that won’t necessarily make it onto the blog.

The post of the week comes from Erin Samus and has to do with trade school debt.  This is over strenous objection from Alpha Man who wanted to write a piece about the Student Debt portion of the Healthcare bill, but I had to make an executive decision.  I don’t want my blog hijacked for political purposes.

Many of you have asked about Icarus’ Prayer of St. Vitale.  Yes it is an original work, not a meme.  Yes Icarus is a college hoops fan and no I will not reveal the team he roots for because it might alienate other readers.  The prayer is team neutral. 

Simon’s Girlfriend has been matched to her residency program and I hear that’s important SO you medical types have something to look forward to as well.  As a hint she seems…violent.

Hi Kids.  I know March Madness is a painful time for all of you. We in Debtor’s Prison funded the scholarships on display and if you still have love for your Alma mater as I do, it makes defeat all the more painful. Without further ado, here’s what’s going on this week and beyond.

-Please Join the My Debtor’s Prison Facebook Group. An actual Facebook page will be following in the near future.

- Spring Break is upon us. Tell us how you spent it!

- It looks like potential student debtors might get some good news in Obama’s health care bill!

- The Post of the week this week is by yours truly and has to do with the three basic groups you kids fall into: thinking about debt, acruing debt, paying/defaulting on debt.

- No word from the Pepsi challenge, Ms. Spears or the cast of  Twilight. That’s sad because I am all out of girl scout cookies.

Hi Kids. Happy Monday, a day which to me is like any other given that I have no job. I find the shame of running errands midday in a bathrobe is balanced out by the convenience of less people being out and about.

So first our various scholarship campaigns. Our entry into the Pepsi Refresh contest has yet to be ajudicated. There has also been no word from Ms. Spears. I am taking suggestions via the comment section on the next star to write.

The post of the week this week comes from Simon’s Girlfriend. The summary is “You’re Wrong” which probably means it is a rebuff of me in some way. I get no respect…though it’s understandable since technically my only means of support is part time work for a crooked Girl Scout.

Speaking of which we are on Twitter now at MyDebtorsPrison. I am still getting the hang of tweeting since I missed out on the whole facebook thing. I also hope to tag/categorize each post by author as certain lawyer authors  who shall remain nameless are demanding it on behalf of their legions of fans. Judging by our hit count many of these legions have yet to visit. This writer’s understudy will be filed under his name.

Finally I would like to thank the friends of Debtor’s Prison and other sites who have agreed to cross-link with us so that others might learn of our existence. I apologize if I or one of my writers did anything to breach blog ettiquette. We’re all new at this.

Hi kids.  Thanks for your patience.  Still trying to figure out this whole blog thing.  First a couple of announcements: Please direct all questions about KF Li to Mike Triforce.  Even those of us who will never own a new car (me) know that an 8.5% interest rate is criminal.  I do not have Mike Triforce’s number and no, I do not know whether he and the Princess have an “arrangement.” I will say this though, as far as I know he is straight and I am the first to admit that that question is more than legitimate. To our LGBT friends do not worry, Triforce is NOT your voice on this blog.

Next, I am introducing a new post entitled “Post of the Week” which will be a longer post about a subject of interest and since both Alpha Man and Simon’s Girlfriend have informed me I have done nothing for Black History Month, the first post of the week will go to Alpha Man.  Triforce is looking at a draft and mumbled something about a conspiracy theory.
